Australian Seabird Rescue held a very successful fundraising BBQ on Saturday at the Shellharbour Bunning's Store. Thanks to all those who donated food and who worked hard on the day, and for the public who purchased our delicious sausage sandwiches. A grand profit of $1146.80 was made which will help considerably towards the continuing rescue and rehabilitation of pelicans and other water birds.

Oil Spill off Tauranga, in the Bay of Plenty, NZ
This is exactly the reason why it was so good to have the oil seminar here a couple of weeks ago. It could so easily happen on our coast. Hopefully they will be able to contain the oil with as minimal environmental damage as possible.
